The Stephen Joseph Theatre Resource is a major section of Alan Ayckbourn's official website concentrating on the work of the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, of which Alan Ayckbourn was the Artistic Director between 1972 and 2009. The company, founded by Stephen Joseph in 1955, was the first professional in the round company in the UK and was where Alan began his career as a playwright and director.
